1. These terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Brian Ó Ciardha, trading as StaySorted (“StaySorted”, “we”, “us” or “our”), for your access to and use of StaySorted, including the website at staysorted.ie, related web applications, and any features we make available (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, signing in, starting a subscription or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use StaySorted.

If you use StaySorted on behalf of a household or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that use.

2. Who we are

StaySorted is operated by Brian Ó Ciardha, an individual sole trader based in the Republic of Ireland. StaySorted is not a limited company.

  • Trading name: StaySorted
  • Website: https://staysorted.ie
  • Business address: Unit 1A, Heatherview Business Park, Athlone Road, Longford, Co. Longford, N39 KD82, Ireland
  • Email: info@staysorted.ie

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a StaySorted account or use the Service. By using StaySorted, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you give us is accurate.

StaySorted is intended for household organisation. You must not use the Service if doing so would be unlawful in your country of residence.

4. The StaySorted service

StaySorted is a household organiser. Depending on your plan, it may help you keep tasks, shopping lists, bills, renewals, documents, maintenance, service-provider details, reminders and a household calendar in one shared place.

StaySorted is a software tool. It does not provide insurance, financial, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice. It does not pay bills, switch providers, negotiate quotes or act as your agent.

Features may differ between the free Basic plan and StaySorted Full. The current feature list is described on our Pricing page. We may improve, add or withdraw features from time to time, provided we do not remove the core paid features of an active Full subscription without a reasonable alternative or notice.

5. Accounts and household sharing

You need an account to use most of the Service. You may register with an email address and password, or through a supported sign-in provider such as Google.

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity that takes place on your account, except where that activity is caused by our failure to take reasonable care. Tell us promptly at info@staysorted.ie if you think someone has used your account without permission.

StaySorted is designed for a household. If you invite another person, they may see the household information shared in that workspace. You must only invite people who are allowed to see that information, and you are responsible for the invitations you send.

Nobody outside your household should be able to see your household information through ordinary use of the Service. You must not attempt to access another household’s information.

6. Plans, prices and VAT

StaySorted offers a free Basic plan and a paid StaySorted Full plan. Basic does not require a payment card. Full is billed in euro through Stripe.

As of the date of these Terms, StaySorted Full is advertised at €8.99 per month or €89.90 per year, including VAT. The annual price is presented as two months free compared with twelve monthly payments. The prices that apply to you are those shown at checkout and on the Pricing page at the time you subscribe.

Prices include Irish VAT where it applies. If VAT rules change, or if we have to correct an obvious pricing error, we will tell you before charging a different amount.

We may change future prices. A price change will not apply to your current paid period. If we increase the price for a renewal, we will give you reasonable advance notice so you can cancel before the new price takes effect.

7. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

StaySorted Full is a recurring subscription. Unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period, it renews automatically for the same interval (monthly or annual) and the then-current price will be charged to your payment method.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe’s terms and privacy notice also apply to the payment you make.

You can cancel Full at any time from your account billing settings or by contacting info@staysorted.ie. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep Full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, your account returns to Basic. Your tasks and shopping list remain available on Basic. Full-only features, such as bills, renewals, reminders, documents, maintenance, service providers, the household calendar and spending insights, will no longer be available unless you subscribe again.

If a payment fails or a subscription becomes past due, we may retry the charge and may suspend Full features until payment is brought up to date. We will not keep charging you indefinitely without a reasonable attempt to tell you that payment failed.

8. Cooling-off period

If you are a consumer in the European Union, including Ireland, you generally have 14 days from the day you enter a distance contract for StaySorted Full to withdraw from that contract without giving a reason. This is your statutory cooling-off right.

StaySorted Full is a digital service. If you ask us to start providing it immediately — for example by completing checkout and using Full features during the 14-day period — you acknowledge that you may lose the statutory right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw after we have started performing the service at your request, we may charge a reasonable amount in proportion to what has been provided, as Irish and EU consumer law allows.

To withdraw within the cooling-off period, email info@staysorted.ie with a clear statement that you want to cancel the contract, including the email address on the account. You may also cancel through your billing settings. We will confirm the cancellation and, where a refund is due, make it using the same payment method where possible.

The cooling-off right is in addition to your right to cancel a subscription at any time as described in section 7. Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory consumer rights.

9. Refunds

Outside the cooling-off period, cancelling StaySorted Full stops future charges. Unless Irish or EU law requires otherwise, we do not refund the unused part of a billing period that has already begun.

If we suspend or end the Service for a reason that is not your breach of these Terms, or if we charge you in error, we will refund the affected amount. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us promptly and we will look into it.

10. Acceptable use

You agree to use StaySorted lawfully and fairly. You must not:

  • create an account if you are under 18;
  • give us false details, or impersonate another person;
  • try to access accounts, households or data that are not yours;
  • interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or the systems behind it;
  • upload malware or content that is unlawful, harmful or infringes someone else’s rights;
  • use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing;
  • copy, scrape or resell the Service, except as allowed by law or with our written permission;
  • use StaySorted in a way that could reasonably harm other users or our ability to run the Service.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take the steps in section 18 where we reasonably need to protect the Service or other users.

11. Your content

You keep ownership of the information you add to StaySorted — for example tasks, lists, bill details, documents, notes and household records (“Your Content”).

You grant us a limited licence to host, store, back up, display and otherwise process Your Content only as needed to provide and improve the Service, to keep it secure, and to comply with the law. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, except for copies we must keep for legal, security or backup reasons for a limited time.

You confirm that you have the right to add Your Content and to share it with anyone you invite to your household. Do not upload information you are not allowed to store or share.

You can ask us to export or delete your information by emailing info@staysorted.ie. We will handle that request in line with our data-protection obligations.

12. Intellectual property

StaySorted, including its name, logo, design, software and documentation, is owned by Brian Ó Ciardha or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your household while these Terms apply.

You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service except where applicable law gives you that right and cannot be waived.

13. Reminders, alerts and no advice

Reminders, due dates, renewal alerts and price-change comparisons depend on the information you enter and on email or in-app delivery working as intended. Email can be delayed, filtered or fail. You remain responsible for your bills, policies, renewals and household tasks.

Price-change alerts compare figures you record. They are not a quote, a recommendation to switch, or a guarantee that a better deal is available.

We are not liable for a missed payment, lapsed policy, extra cost or similar consequence merely because a reminder did not arrive or because you relied on information you entered in StaySorted. See section 17 for how liability is limited.

14. Third-party services

StaySorted uses trusted providers to run the Service. These currently include:

  • Stripe, for payment processing and customer billing portals;
  • our hosting and database providers, including infrastructure used to store household data in the European Union;
  • Google, if you choose to sign in with a Google account.

Those providers have their own terms. We are not responsible for a third-party service except to the extent we must be under applicable law, or where we have failed to take reasonable care in choosing or using that provider.

Links to other websites are for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites.

15. Availability and changes

We aim to keep StaySorted available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. Where we reasonably can, we will keep disruption short and give notice of planned downtime.

We may update the Service to fix issues, improve performance or add features. If a change will materially reduce the benefit of an active paid plan, we will give you reasonable notice and you may cancel as described in these Terms.

We may stop offering StaySorted. If we discontinue the Service while you have a paid period remaining, we will refund the unused portion of that period.

16. Privacy and data protection

We process personal data to provide StaySorted, to manage accounts and subscriptions, to send the reminders you enable, and to meet our legal obligations. We handle personal data in line with the GDPR and Irish data-protection law.

Household information is intended only for the people in that household. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, email info@staysorted.ie.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory rights as a consumer.

StaySorted is provided for household organisation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed these Terms;
  • loss of profit, business, opportunity or anticipated savings, except where that loss is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach and you are using StaySorted as a consumer for household purposes;
  • loss or corruption of data, except where caused by our failure to take reasonable care, in which case we will take reasonable steps to restore data from available backups;
  • a missed bill, lapsed insurance or similar household consequence arising from a reminder that did not reach you, from information you entered incorrectly, or from your decision to rely on the Service instead of checking the original documents;
  • problems caused by your device, internet connection, email provider or a third-party service outside our reasonable control.

Subject to the first paragraph of this section, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for StaySorted in the 12 months before the claim and (b) €50. If you use only the free Basic plan and have paid us nothing, that cap is €50.

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at our infrastructure providers, strikes, epidemics, or changes in law.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using StaySorted at any time. You may cancel a paid plan as described in section 7 and you may ask us to close your account by emailing info@staysorted.ie.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if we reasonably believe your account is being used unlawfully, or if we must do so for legal or security reasons. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will warn you first and allow you to put the issue right.

If we end your paid account for our convenience and not because of your breach, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.

Sections that are intended to continue after the contract ends — including intellectual property, liability, governing law and this survival wording — will survive termination.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the Service, in the law, or in how we operate. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.

If a change is material, we will give you reasonable notice, usually by email or a message in the Service, before the new Terms take effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription and stop using StaySorted before the change applies. If you continue to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect, the new Terms apply.

20. Contact and complaints

For questions, billing issues or complaints about StaySorted, email info@staysorted.ie. We will do our best to reply promptly and to resolve the issue.

If you are an EU consumer and we cannot resolve a dispute, you may be able to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform or contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland for information about your rights. Using those services does not affect your right to bring a claim in court.

Postal correspondence may be sent to Unit 1A, Heatherview Business Park, Athlone Road, Longford, Co. Longford, N39 KD82, Ireland.

21. Governing law and courts

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Ireland.

The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your EU member state of residence. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live that cannot be disapplied by contract.

22. General

  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier terms for the same subject.
  • If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we may still enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another person who takes over the Service, provided your rights are not reduced.
  • These Terms do not create a partnership, agency or employment relationship, and they do not give rights to anyone except you and us, except where a household member uses the Service under your account.
  • Headings are for reading convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
